Choosing a Finish

You can finish the projects in this book in a number of ways. A food-safe finish is recommended, especially if the projects will be handled by young children. Most finishes are food-safe when fully cured; however, always read the manufacturer’s instructions thoroughly before applying a finish to any project. Note: Be sure to dispose of oil-soaked rags according to the instructions on the package of finish, as they can spontaneously combust.
